Required Skills

• Experience designing and deploying highly secure cloud infrastructure at an enterprise scale.
• Experience monitoring and logging tools and platforms (ElasticSearch, GrayLog, Graphana)
• Secure system lifecycle management experience.
• Experience developing automated solutions to deploy infrastructure or applications (Python, Ansible, Terraform, Gitlab, JSON or YAML, Rundeck, or Jenkins).
• In depth knowledge of VMware, Windows, Linux, and container solutions (ProxMox, KVM, VCD, NSX-t).
• Experience supporting complex end-to-end network solutions in a Mission Critical environment.
• Compiling Linux kernels & cross-compilation practices
• Deep understanding of Linux and embedded linux
• Skills in scripting languages, particularly Python and Shell
• Excellent debugging skills
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for compiled software & a history of automating and optimizing workflows
• Fluency in SCM (e.g. Perforce, Git) and build systems (e.g. make, cmake, bazel)
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as KVM, Proxmox, or VMWare
• Experience working with containers (Docker)
• Experience with network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, UDP, OSI layers, Load Balancing, VLAN configurations)
• Knowledge of communication protocols, client-server architectures, computer networking technologies, network security solutions, and software integration.
• Moderate to Advanced Networking Skills, Network Engineering, Thorough understanding of WAN/LAN/DMZ/etc.,VPN’s, Switching, Routing, Security, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Subnetting, VLANs
• Knowledge of IT Infrastructure and Data Center Architectures.
• Experience with Nvidia embedded platforms
• Experience with Infrastructure as code tooling such as Packer, Terraform, Ansible, or Salt
• Experience with container orchestration platforms
• Experience troubleshooting 802.11a/b/g/n and 802.11s networks
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Knowledge in the following key technologies including but not limited to ProxMox, KVM, VMware, Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Networking concepts such as routing and switching concepts, routing protocols such as EIGRP and BGP.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• 10+ year's of experience in Infrastructure or related field

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure performance of existing infrastructure, maintain configuration of infrastructure devices and trouble shoot infrastructure as necessary to resolve issues.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation.
• Provide support for the design, validation and configuration management of network and computing systems
• hardware and cabling as required.
• Analyzes and troubleshoots system incidents to determine the root cause and corrective action
• Performs system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture.
• Regular on-console work as responsible engineer for facility network and terrestrial communications devices.
• Work with multi-skill team to accomplish team objectives.
• Managing end of service life status on all network, software and developing mitigation plans as needed.
• Design, deploy and test cybersecurity systems, software, and tools for a private cloud environment housing high-availability, mission-critical communications systems.
• Implement NIST 800-53 controls by defining and configuring network security systems and providing secure configuration guidance to partner organizations.
• Configure firewall, DDoS appliance, and security monitoring rules/actions.
• Perform critical system maintenance, incident response, and support in a DevSecOps, automation first environment.
• Function within an ITIL framework.
